Be with Jesus

Be with Jesus

Before we set out to do anything for God or others, we prioritize  simply being with Him. The metaphor from John 15 of the vine and branches is a  powerful reminder: apart from Jesus, we can do nothing. If we’re not abiding in Him,  all our efforts, no matter how noble, will be fruitless. (John 15:4-5, Matthew 11:28-  30)

Become like Him

Become like Him

As we spend time with Jesus, we begin to become more like Him.  This process involves growing, maturing, and learning to reflect Christ in every area  of our lives. Following Jesus is not just a one-time decision; it’s an ongoing journey  of being shaped by Him. (Philippians 1:6)

Build a Bridge

Build a Bridge

For others to do the same. John 15 tells us apart from Jesus, we can  do nothing. This implies there is something to do. When we’ve been with Jesus and  are becoming more like Him, we are compelled to build a bridge for others do the  same. (Romans 1:5, Matthew 28:19-20)

Core Values

In short, we believe the Bible-- from the front cover to the back! We encourage everyone who attends Bridge Church to take time out to dig deeper into the Word of God on their own to discover God's best plan for their life 

Our Core Values are the guides that keep us on track to where God is leading us personally and as a church body.

This is His story, and it is all for His glory!

Our reality is defined by the truth of God's Word.

We can only do this life through the power that HE supplies and the gifts that HE provides.

This is for our real life, not just our "church" life.

We can't out-give God, but that's not going to stop us from trying!

We choose to become comfortable in the realm of risk instead of risking everything in the realm of comfort.

Every age. Every color. Every background.

Freely we have received; freely we give... to our families, our community, and to the world.

We change from the inside out, but we approach that change from the outside in. Everything matters.

When we know who we are in Him, we can learn to live like Him.

Pastor Chad Hammons

Lead Pastor | September 2026–Present
Care Pastor | 2024–2026

Pastor Chad Hammons has devoted more than 30 years to helping people encounter Jesus, experience genuine life change, and discover their God-given purpose. Throughout his ministry, he has served in numerous pastoral leadership roles, including children’s, lead pastor, care pastor, church planter, counselor, and police chaplain.

After moving to La Grange, Chad joined the staff of Bridge Church, where his love for people, pastoral experience, and heart for the local church prepared the way for him to become Bridge Church’s lead pastor.

Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian Counseling and is a Licensed Pastoral Counselor, a Board-Certified Integrated Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Certified Think Differently Life Coach. His ministry is marked by practical biblical teaching, genuine care for people, and a deep belief that no person or situation is beyond the transforming power of Jesus.

Chad and Diana have been married for 33 years and have two sons. Together, they are passionate about building a healthy, life-giving church where people from every background can feel at home, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and help others do the same.

Kolbe and Rachel faithfully served Bridge Church from 2005–2026, including several years as Lead Pastors. We are grateful for their faithful service, their investment in our church family, and the many lives they have impacted. As they begin this next season, we pray God's blessing over them and their family.
